Spring Festivals You Must Visit
With the holidays over the countdown to Spring has sprung. No one will argue that we are all looking forward to warmer weather, beautiful skies and even more beautiful flowers to finally come out of the grown and sprout. One of the best ways to celebrate spring is by attending one of the many spring festivals that happens around the country. Whether it is a music festival or an art one, these events are a great way to get outside and enjoy the weather. Here are some of the great festivals happening this spring:
Classic City Brew Fest. While many beer festivals usually come during the summer or early fall, this one just so happens to take place early April in Athens, Georgia. It is here that you can taste over 350 rare craft beers found regionally and around the world. It is one of Southeast’s longest running craft beer festivals so you know you are guaranteed a good time. There is great live music from new bands and even better delicious food to eat.
Dogwood Arts Festival. If art is more up you alley this festival is for you! Their kick off begins first week of April in Knoxville, Tennessee and it is huge. It hosts a quarter-million visitors for its grand garden party. This festival runs throughout the month of April with each week having a special event. Not only can you browse wonderful masterpieces from diverse artists but listen to great music and check out their beautiful flowers.
Tulip Time. Taking place early May, Tulip Time is a spectacular festival worth traveling to see. It takes place in Holland, Michigan where they truly celebrate their Dutch heritage. There are concerts, parades, Klompen Dance, an art and craft fair, trolley tours and carnivals all to celebrate this flower and the Dutch culture than runs deep within Holland, Michigan. It has been name “Best Small Town Festival in America” by Reader’s Digest.
Cochella Valley Music & Arts Festival. This festival has been gaining much popularity over the years as it seems to be the place to be amongst celebrities. Their tickets are pricey and even harder to get a hold of. This takes place 2 weekends in April in Indio, CA. They always have an impressive lineup of music artists mixed with already well known and those who are up and coming. It is huge and has been known to break all sorts of attendance records. Many have said that it has become one of the most influential events in the music world.
